Founded in 1978, Children's Folklore Dance Group Úsměv is the first children's folk dance troupe in Opava. The troupe seeks to present the folk art of Silesia in the northeastern part of Czech Republic. In addition, we can also see folk music, dances, and songs from other parts of Czech, such as Wallacgia in the east, Slovácko in the southeast, or even the country of Slovakia in its performances.
In addition to performing throughout the Czech Republic, the troupe has also participated in international art festivals in Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, and Poland.
